Chad Robinson

Chad Robinson Legacy Foundation is a National Mental Health not-for-profit charity supporting athletes. Our mission is to carry on his legacy by championing the long-term mental wellbeing of athletes.

The Foundation was founded in memory of former NRL Player Chad Robinson, who lost his battle with mental illness in November 2016. Chad played professional football for both Parramatta Eels and Sydney Roosters.

In his own words “Post footy retirement left a significant void in my life. I struggled to settle. I was never content. Mental illness - anxiety, depression, and at times, addiction has dominated my life, even torn it apart.

There is a trail of destruction that is hard to look back on”. Our mission is to carry on his legacy by championing the long-term mental wellbeing of athletes. Professional athletes are vulnerable to mental health problems and Chad’s story resonates with many athletes current and retired.

Chad will always be remembered for courageously shining a spotlight on the invisible struggle of mental illness and helping others who were also suffering.
